BLACK DICE
Black Dice formed during the spring of 1997 in Providence, Rhode Island as a loud, chaotic mix of early-eighties-inspired thrash and harsh noise experimentation. Having undergone various line-up shifts and a relocation to New York City, the current trio are at the top of their game. Following various releases for Fat Cat / DFA, 2007 saw them find a more spitritual home on Animal Collective's Paw Tracks imprint and release fourth LP 'Load Blown' - a strange and abrasive concoction of clipped voices, beats and crackles that is somehow more familiar, accessible, and celebratory than ever before.

FAMILY UNDERGROUND
Formerly known as F.L.O.W.E.R, Family Underground are Denmark's consummate masters of immersive free-psychedelia, bending and twisting waves of monochromatic noise into amorphous, reverb soaked sound tunnels. They recently performed at Thurston Moore's ATP and have released heaps of records for the likes of Not Not Fun, Weird Forest, Woodist, Qbico, Carbon, Chocolate Monk, Ikuisuus, Heavy Tapes and Reverse Recordings, amongst others.

CHOPS
Formed in early 2007, Chops are a trio from Leeds, spawned from the awesome Chinchilla Collective, mixing free-wheeling drums, cosmic keys, sax and effected vocals into a euphoric knees-up that's previously shared stages with Death Sentence: Panda!, Random Number, OvO, Indian Jewelry and Marnie Stern. They'll be contributing a side to UTR's upcoming split 12" series.
