LAST HARBOUR
Last Harbour are a Manchester-based band playing rustic, cinematically atmospheric songs that rattle and loom, at once epic and intimate, harsh and beautiful. Using instrumentation that might traditionally be associated with folk music, the band instead hammer and sculpt their music into unusual and beguiling forms, sometimes shot through with corruscating feedback but sometimes left to drift, ghost-like. This is music with a strong emotional content, both bitter and beautiful. The band effectively operate as a collective of like-minded musicians, all of whom are involved in other artistic work including illustration, photography, film-making and recording.
There have been several Last Harbour records to date, all of them highly acclaimed. New album ‘Dead Fires & The Lonely Spark’ (recorded in glorious analogue to 2” tape with Richard Formby of Spacemen 3, Herman Dune, Dakota Suite fame) is out in March 2008 on Little Red Rabbit Records and is preceded by the ‘My Knowen Foe’ EP.
Members of Last Harbour also play with Anna Kashfi, Willard Grant Conspiracy, Gabe Minnikin, Eileen Rose and Lazarus Clamp.

FUZZY LIGHTS
Combining ethereal drone, brushed folk and quantised cacophony, Cambridge's Fuzzy Lights exist at a critical point of sounds, textures, emotions and musical styles. Formed as a duo in 2004, the live band has expanded to a five-piece, resulting in the formation of a wide scope of live soundscapes that envelop, whilst avoiding any aloof detachment from the spectator. Debut album, "A Distant Voice", was finished at the end of 2007, and should be released later this year.
