I Hear a New World at 10pm tonight
Tonight at 10pm on www.freshair.org.uk we have Chris Bathgate from Edinburgh post-rock nu-gazers Sans Trauma (and formerly bassist with Arab Strap) coming in to choose a few tracks. Digital Plamf picks an obscure band from Fife for his Unsung Hero choice, and we've got a couple of brilliant high-concept tunes from Jonathan Richman and Paul Hawkins.
LAST WEEK'S SHOW
Last week's show had a bit of a literary theme running through it, with Malcolm Middleton's collaboration with Alan Bissett (author of Boyracers and the Incredible Adam Spark) for Ballads of the Book. Then a song from Mark Everett, aka Eels, whose just brought out an autobiography about his bizarre family life. Plus a comedy song loved by the late, great Hunter S. Thompson , and the unsung hero was Adam Gnade, whose debut novel comes out in April.
