LOCAL MUSIC SCENE IN A STATE OF SOS

Syndicate of Sound (SOS) is a new music society aiming to promote fresh musical talent that consists of managers, talent scouts, promoters and performers.

SOS are planning to hijack the region's venues with a selection of gigs, kicking off with a launch night this month to showcase the hottest underground bands and solo artists spanning all kinds of musical backgrounds. Whether you prefer rock, punk, dance or hip-hop - our launch night will suit all tastes; we're simply into supporting and promoting good music.

The launch will take place in the Drama Studio at New College Durham, Framwellgate Moor on Thursday 28th February 2008; featuring live bands, DJs and MCs. The doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start and refreshments will be available until 10:00pm (all ages are welcome).

Tickets can be bought in advance from the Box Office (0191 375 4068) for £3 or bought on the door for £4. (Advance tickets will be left at the Drama Studio entrance for people to pick up - located just inside the main college building.)
