I don't know whether I'm being shameless here, or just a bit twee. I hope it's the latter.

Back in the day, I used to be in a band called Mavis. We were based in Sunderland and released two albums in five years. We used to get a load of love from Drowned In Sound, and hence, why I'm here.

This year we're reforming for a couple of shows - hopefully one in Sunderland one in London. I've just set up a Myspace with songs from the first album on it and I wondered if anyone who used to like us (or newbies who might like us) want to jog on over there and be our 'friend'. Then we can let you know more about the gigs when we know.
