library tapes
www.myspace.com/librarytapes
sweden's david wenngren aka library tapes makes beautiful piano driven ambient music. if you like stars of the lid, eluvium or a silver mt zion you'll love him. his only other uk date on this tour and a chance to see him in a small, cosy venue while you still can!
denis jones
www.myspace.com/denisjones
manchester's hardest working musician! if you're in the minority of people who've never seen him before, you're in for a treat. for those who have, you know what to expect already. brilliant experimental folk for fans of david thomas broughton.
jam on bread
www.myspace.com/jamonbreadyay
jam on bread makes amateurishly lo-fi ukulele pop songs about manatees, isopods and twee swedish record labels. first manchester gig! for fans of daniel johnston, mj hibbett and kimya dawson.
DIRECTIONS!
never heard of the old abbey inn before? right! take a bus/walk down oxford road until you get to the eye hospital/whitworth museum then turn RIGHT down denmark road. walk a bit along there and then turn right on to pencroft way. you won't be able to miss it from there!
