I Shot the Deputy Night - Sat 11th Jun 2005
On Saturday 11th June 2005 I Shot the Deputy are putting on a night of music at Upstairs @ The Enterprise, 2 Haverstock Hill, right next to Marine Ices at the top end of Camden, by Chalk Farm Tube.
Doors are at 7:30pm and the first band will be on about 8pm. In order of appearance:
Go! Team! Go! - http://www.goteamgo.co.uk
Excellent messy hardcore with casio synths thrown in
Idle Vice Pirate - http://www.ivpirate.com
A bit Muse without the moaning...er that's a crap description don't listen to me
Sunnyvale Noise Sub-Element - http://www.sunnyvalenoisesubelement.co.uk
Kind of like the guitars work from Slint over the sort of beats you'd imagine from really classic DJ Shadow meets NiN. Oh and a big slice of Big Black in there apparently.
The Faculty - http://www.thefaculy.info
A kind of beautiful marriage between Joy Division and (The) Verve circa 'A Storm in Heaven' - yup my descriptive talents are total arse today.
Entrance is a measly £3, profits going to the bands.
We'll be selling a few copies CD entitled [artnoisewank] on the night featuring a track from each band and one from a fifth act who aren't playing. Price is probably going to be £1 and all of that will be split between the bands evenly.
Obligatory site reference follows:
