Fish: not a toilet. Free gig; good lineup.
The next 'Don't Piss on the Fish' event will be held on 20th June in The Marquee, Leicester Square.
As usual it's FREE for all who register names for the guestlist, by emailing theband@twentysixfeet.net before about midday on the day of the gig.
The music starts at 8.00.
We have a fantabulous array of aural treats for your delectation:
*October All Over
-Masses of hardcore shouty energy contrasting with more melodic and textural sections. Riotous, dynamic, complex, angry music to rock your head off. For fans of These Arms are Snakes, ATDI, etc.
*Suitable Case for Treatment
-Operating inside their own genre of doom-thrash-ogre-nuttercore, occasionally usurped by the future-ghost of Tom Waits and spooked by Slint-like spooky meanderings, Suitable Case are a truly original and rather unnerving spectacle.
*Function
-This duo seek to provide a visceral alternative to faceless laptop noodlings by introducing live guitar, percussion and vocals as sound sources, then subjecting them to live reprocessing. Spontaneous and startling.
*twentysixfeet
-At the moment the party line is that we hover somewhere between The Cure, Planet Mu/Rephlex-style electronica, Converge, Augustus Pablo, Tool and In Utero-style Nirvana. I dunno.
So come, extend your weekend, partake of beverages, jump for joy or just gaze enigmatically at a wall. Whatever, we promise riotous fun and no door tax if you register.
Hope to see y'all.
