In a UK exclusive, four maestros of Sweden's ever fertile electronic music scene fly into town for a one night only special to demonstrate why their highly explosive, diverse and far reaching compositions have elevated them to the top of this global stage at an unprecedented rate.
Andreas Tilliander (aka Lowfour, Mokira, Komp) might be one of Europe's most active techno-pop musicians, releasing on the ever consistent Mille Plateaux and Pluxemburg imprints as well more divergent forums such as Resopal. He is also the twice Swedish Grammy nominated artist and Manifest winner who has pioneered the so called, 'clicks & cuts,' movement that has blossomed over the past few years and whose beautifully rendered takes on mutated pop and dub house have seen the likes of pop luminaries such as Li'l Kim hungry for a touch of his magic on her records.
Ola Bergman, in his first ever live UK appearance, is none other than the co-founder of cutting edge Scandinavian label, New Speak, whose output has been regarded as some of the most innovative in global electronics to date. With subsequent releases on the highly respected Skam imprint, he is a musician and true craftsman whose intricate and wealthy expertise in the music of machines has seen him create some of the most stunningly and emotionally charged pieces of electronica since the turn of the century. He is an artist who commands a captive audience as his rich tapestry of beats, breaks and sweeping synthesis rewire not only your aural sensors, but, your mind, body and soul.
Complementing this already unique and exceptional line-up are Electronic Desert label bosses and long time forefather's of Northern Europe's burgeoning electronica scene, Bell 03 and Jan Anderson. Tonight, they will perform a one-off live act fusing the apex of digital technology with vintage benchmarks. Using Final Scratch they will blend a collection of works produced especially for this evening's showcase with some of their more classic movements. These two gentlemen, in their multitude of production guises have been at the forefront of Sweden's synthetic era for the last two decades and have been solely responsible for some of the most seminal and sublime moments in techno, electro and electronica that the world has ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Finally, we are especially proud to present Ninja Tune's Pest in their full band guise who will be performing in a special London show to celebrate their forthcoming record 'All Out Fall Out,' which marks a massive departure from their sample based recordings of past to full on live antics. These five gents mix up everything: jazz, hip hop, funk, rock, gargae, techno into a unique blend that is as instantly identifiable as them. They are a mixture of scarily high grade musicmanship and punk ethics and should not be missed.
Where the crisp clean nuances of one of our continents neighbours meets the mill smoke of our swarming metropolis, expect sexy red Nord Leads and nests of super charged wires, cellos and drums, in a night that is sure to go down in the annals of electronic history.
