Here comes "LIVERPOOL CALLING", which we hope we'll be a really cool and exciting club night with great bands and great music.

ALL EXCITING LINEUPS HAVE NOW BEEN CONFIRMED!

We'd like to draw attention not only to the first Liverpool Calling, but to our PARIS CALLING special, which will take place at Korova on 15th November. Nelson, Brooklyn, and Sheraff, three exciting new bands from the emerging rock scene in Paris, will be playing in the North-West for the first time!

We'll always try to book really good local bands and bands no one ever seems to bring to Liverpool, and play cool music you won't hear in any other club night. Expect psychedelic lights, exciting lineups and music that can go from Mikey Dread to Billy Childish to The Creation to Franz Ferdinand.

Opening night is on Wednesday 24th October, Upstairs @ Hannah's Bar.
Doors 8pm entry only £2.50 (or £1 for any member of a Liverpool band who's our friend on myspace)

Brilliant, catchy, swampy rock'n'roll blues noise. A great live act, who despite some retro/ classic influences still manages to sound new and exciting!

BILLY RUFFIAN (Filthy Little Angels records)
"With his jacket, shirt and tie (think tax office as opposed to scenester style) and crumpled demeanour, Billy Ruffians frontman Stephen Bray looks like hes just sneaked out of work to go to an AA meeting spinning streams of consciousness across discordantly powered guitars, tracks like Death Of A Band and Gig In A Room observe the world in which Bray finds himself with the same brilliantly wry black humour as Half Man Half Biscuit. They are one of those bands where you want to hear every word because there is actually something there worth listening to...worth watching too he soon makes use of the freezing concrete space at the front to jump around like a pinball.
