Manchester’s answer to The Gossip and Sleater-Kinney, (Hooker) are the antithesis of the current simpering girl fronted, bloke friendly music scene. Lead singer Zoe McVeigh’s achingly arresting vocals and (Hooker)’s short, sharp 2 minute punk, pop, love songs are gaining the ‘power trio’ a growing cult following and plaudits in the underground press. Their eponymous second album is released on 25th April followed by a three week promotional tour.
