Penny Rimbaud talks about his time in CRASS and his life thereafter. He will focus on how CRASS were at the forefront of the DIY music business and how that philosophy of self-empowerment seems more relevant to today than ever before.
<b>Thursday September 6th – Life in a multi-million selling band – What’s it all about?</b>
Ally McErlaine has been the guitarist with the group Texas for over twenty years. In that time he has toured the world and contributed to the band’s huge sales success. It seems like a perfect life, but how perfect is it? Come and hear what Ally has to say about his experiences in the music business.
<b>Friday September 7th – Bring your daughter to the (slaughter) seminar.</b>
This panel will look at how Rock and Metal is perceived, marketed and promoted by the music industry. Does this genre run in a parallel universe to that of the mainstream music business? Our panel all have a great deal of experience to draw upon in answering this question.
Panel featuring Dave Thorne (Noise Pollution Management), Eric Cook (Demolition Records) and Dave Ling (Music journalist for Classic Rock and Metal Hammer).
