Lewisham People's Day - "South-East London's Largest & Longest Running Community Festival" is 23 years old on Saturday 14th July. It's earned a reputation for engaging us all in a diverse range of high quality arts and activities to an audience of 18,000 (rainiest) to over 37,000 (sunniest!). A bit like a surreal groovy garden fete of the multi-dimensional and alternative art kind as befits, what has become this decade, London's most creative and playful borough. The People’s Day audience reflect the borough's diversity. It aims to to ensure that the local community receives the maximum benefit from it's successful, multi-cultural, multi-generational, positive and peaceful profile. For the second year running, Creative Lewisham / Rocklands present a fraction of the amazing live music, associated with London's most playful quarter, making a mark on both the local circuit and the international music scene.
