This five-piece group of L.A. musicians mix old school reggae with rock, soul and funk, heavily influenced by The Meters, James Brown and Wilson Pickett. Nearly eight months straight on the road, criss-crossing the U.S. and jetting back and forth to Europe, The Aggrolites are one of the world ’s hardest working bands and with serious talent to boot. They are one mean unit, a machine. If you’ve ever seen one of their shows then you know they have the chops, chemistry, talent and that something special the Almighty gave them at birth to take this Aggrolites “machine” to the highest mountain. They have shared the stage with Prince Buster, Derrick Morgan, The Skatalites, Madness (on their Dec'06 UK arena tour), Rancid, Hepcat and countless other greats. They have also recorded two BBC Radio One Sessions. They have recently backed Rancid's frontman Tim Armstrong on his the recording of his solo album "A Poet's Life", creating a masterpiece of soulful reggae cuts for Tim's unique vocal and guitar exploits. Their hugely awaited third album “Reggae Hit L.A.” (Hellcat/Epitaph) is out now!
