DPOTF in April: See Redjetson etc. for FREEE!
'Don't Piss on the Fish'
Monday April 11th
The Marquee, Leicester Square
Doors 7:30
FREEEE to those who email names to theband@twentysixfeet.net for inclusion on the guestlist.
The full bill is now confirmed:
*Redjetson-
Purveyors of chiming guitars, expansive arrangements, scary dynamics, and melodies to warm the heart. This band hardly need an introduction round these parts; we're very pleased to have them on this bill!
*Liberez-
Now this promises to be a bit special! We booked them on the strength of hearty recommendations from The Exploits and Redjetson. The two tracks I've heard are startlingly original and hard to describe. Imagine Slint with a horn section, and you'll be...er...nowhere near, really. Awesome stuff. Formerly known as Woe.
*twentysixfeet-
Post-punk/rock/electronic/whatever, this time DEFINITELY with laptop abuse, and HOPEFULLY with increased personnel! Expect noise, melody, and anything inbetween.
*Jeremy Warmsley-
We got his cd through the post the other day, and one track in we'd decided to book him! I hear Simon & Garfunkel, Techno Animal and Four Tet in there somewhere: a strange brew indeed. He'll most probably be doing a stripped-down, more intimate rendition with vocals, guitar and loop samplers.
Crumbs I'm excited. See y'all there!
