Free Gig This Sunday- The Total Drop, Jim Rhesus & Heath
This Sunday is your chance to attend an earwax live session for the first time. Up until now, all of the Earwax Sessions have been recorded in a studio in deepest darkest Erith, but we've now brought them to the heart of Rockland's for the first time and you can be part of the live studio audience (just like in Happy Days, but we promise to try not jump the shark just yet).
The first Earwax Sunday Session commences at 2pm this Sunday (27th May) at the New Cross Inn and will feature live performances from Heath, Jim Rhesus (Subliminal Girls) and The Total Drop.
Heath has travelled all the way from LA to perform for us (and a few other choice events across Europe including the recent Foxfest and Rocklands Party) and has been described as "a young Willie Nelson in a punk rock band". Jim Rhesus will be gracing the stage fresh from the launch party of The Subliminal Girls' debut single 'Burn Koko' and will no doubt be treating us to a plethora of bad language as he always does when appearing on Earwax. Finally, Earwax faves The Total Drop will be performing a very special set and have told us that they've reworked 5 of their songs into "something totally new and strange just for Earwax" - if their debut session for Earwax was anything to go by, we know this is gonna be very special!
The highlights of the Sunday Session will be recorded for the next Earwax show and you'll be able to download MP3s of further tracks from the event exclusively at wax-music.com. So make sure you join us for a lazy Sunday afternoon of musical delight from 2pm this Sunday. Entry is free and the event will be followed by an evening event with The Pistolas, Forms Forms Forms and The Magnificent Gentlemen. And dont forget, it's a bank holiday weekend so there's no excuse not have an all-day Sunday Session!
