Amongst the Russians: Seven completely different personalities and we all love to write and play music together in our own
unique way. The background of the musicians add many contrasting styles within their sound leading to the energretic sonic
chaos that is our final product.
We like to use different sounds and devices both instrumentally and vocally for effect. Its not just about music that
inspires the thought ‘That sounded pretty’, the effects, the chromaticism, the ‘oh’s’ and ‘ah’s’ and obscure foundations on
which the material is built upon brings new ways to listen to music and hope inspires the listener to try to figure out what
comes next.

Drawing on all sorts of influences and a desire to be noticed, The Dirty Soul Club has worked on creating a sound unique to
them. Blending together a love for music...a sprinkle of aw emotion and four good mates this indie/post-punk/electro four
piece from Manchester have created a solid sound. In September 2006 they played their first gig at the Star and Garter in
Manchester, since then gigs have been frequent, taking them to Liverpool and London as well as many around Manchester. If
you've listened to the song imagine them live.
"Manchester band The Dirty Soul Club have a consistent sound on this demo. We're talking upbeat indie/ punk somewhere between
Sonic Youth and The Pixies. Rather than having the usual verse / chorus structure, the 3 tracks on here all have one simple
idea, which the band then work around and build up through each song until by the end they've created quite a climax."

Rambo and Leroy's fresh blend of Rock and Roll with dance-like euphoria result in a sound that is entirely their own. Since
'05 they have been recording, writing and performing music across the UK. Recent dates have included performing at the Albert
Docks in Liverpool, Academy 3 in Manchester, and supporting the legendary New Order on their latest UK
tour...

SoPhIeS PiGeOnS grew out of a group of friends who live in South Manchester. Solo artist and pianist Sophie Nelson got her
wish for four more feathered musicians to join the musical nest - complete with glockenspiel, melodeon, harmonium, violin,
extra female vocals and manager James. Described as twinkly and honest, Sophie's Pigeons enjoy vegetarian breakfasts and
drinking cherry Lambrini.
"Headliners Sophie's Pigeons were a couple of pigeons short, due to ill health or poor homing skills or something, but that
didn't stop them playing a fun and engaging set to a pretty sizeable late crowd. The Tori Amos reference in the programme was
spot on - Sophie has a quirkiness underpinning a terrific voice. The songs are strong, and the performance and interaction
with the audience spot-on" Listen To manchester

"POPWORLD LOVES DOUG WALKER.......WE DIG DOUG! Manchester's freshest indie pop singer/songwriter.... His track 'Stranger Than
Fiction' immediately starts with a dark, punchy lyrical verse, which melts well with a brilliant upbeat chorus....We say you
need to check this tightly produced cracking tune now!." POPWORLD.COM
