In The Studio
The Specials guitar maestro Lynval Golding flew in from Seattle this month to lay down his guitar and vocals on Pama Intl's 5th studio album. Twelve tracks are currently being worked on and early results are rocking. "It's got a much heavier dub and roots vibe then previous albums, also a real soul thing going on. There's a lot of work still to be done but there's already two or three absolute Killer tracks...definite singles".
The line-up on the album includes Pama Intl stalwarts Fuzz Townshend (drums), Simon Wilcox (trumpet), Lynval (guitar), Finny (vocals) & Sean Flowerdew (keyboards), along with new recruits from last year, Kirk Serivce (bass) and Marli (lead guitar) both from the Lee Perry band. Also, planned a couple of very special guest appearances. More next time.
The as yet untitled album is expected to see a release in June 2007. With a couple of single coming out in April and May 2007.
