Einstellung - gig 2nd Feb
First gig of the year for Birmingham band Einstellung. I've seen the name in forums on this site. Hope you can make it!

A strong bill of three Birmingham bands will play at The Hare & Hounds, High Street, Kings Heath on Friday 2nd February, 8pm-midnight.
The Nightingales, The Courtesy Group and Einstellung join forces for what promises to be a memorable evening of Birmingham talent.
Tickets: £5 available in advance from Swordfish Records, Temple Street & Jibbering Records, Alcester Road or £7 on the night.
Sonic-pop instrumental ensemble Einstellung kick off the evening with tracks from their debut LP “Wings of Desire”.
The Courtesy Group bring their poetic lyrics, artful eclecticism and driving rhythms along for another eagerly anticipated showcase of songs from their forthcoming release “Tradesman’s Entrance”.
Headliners The Nightingales will be playing a rare UK show in their home town before a nine date tour of the US east coast.
Notes:
The Nightingales were formed by former members of Birmingham's original punk group The Prefects. With an ever fluctuating line up, based around lyricist/singer Robert Lloyd, the band recorded a bunch of singles, three albums and many radio sessions for John Peel before splitting up in the late '80s.
Following various, but occasional, reformations in 2004 The Nightingales re-grouped in earnest. Since then they have released five 7" vinyl singles, played around the UK, undertaken a small U.S tour and recorded numerous radio sessions, and made their finest album to date, "Out Of True".

The Courtesy Group, led by poet Al Hutchins, specialize in comic observation, social absurdity and musical diversity. The band explores just about every possible avenue for generating sound. Always energetic, passionate and often deeply frightening the band somehow make it work.

Einstellung take the simplicity of Neu!, add the noise and dynamics of My Bloody Valentine and create something enormous that envelops your soul. Audiences at Birmingham gigs over the past year or so have been treated to sets of trance-like beauty, power, noise and glorious melodic simplicity. The songs lull listeners with mesmerising repetition and an addictive pop sensibility before taking off and climbing towards the highest of sonic highs.
