Highsoc & Good Name for a Racehorse present...
The Red Room @ Rescue Rooms
Tuesday 12th December 8pm
£6 (£5 highsoc)
UNITED LIGHT
Improv trio consisting of Tom Greenwood (Jackie O-Motherfucker), Mick Flower (Vibracathedral Orchestra, The Michael Flower Band) & John Moloney (Sunburned Hand of the Man/Six Organs of Admittance/Howlin Rain). Their first gig, for which they will also be joined by Keith Wood (Hush Arbors/Sunburned Hand of the Man). Expect freaked out cosmic jams like a maggot worming its way to the centre of yr spazzed out brain.
ALEXANDER TUCKER
Music inspired by ‘rotten rooms, dust, cobwebs, poltergeists.’ He’s worked with Stephen O’Malley (Sunn O)))/Khanate) in Ginnungagap and recorded two incredible solo albums of psychedelic folk for the ATP label to massive critical acclaim. The Wire, Uncut, Mojo and drownedinsound have all rightly lavished his new album with praise.
THE EXPLOITS OF ELAINE
zither, guitar, mandolin, violin and voices weaving in and out of your subconscious and finding places at the back of your brain that you didn't even know were there.
There'll also be the following fun and frolics:
-Mixtape/CD-R stall (make one and take one)
-Record stalls (Sound Devestation Records have a stall, and GNFAR stuff will be available cheap).
-Aftershow Party!
