DEEP SOUTH, a four man, three piece hard rock band from south London, command any stage they’re presented with. "Deep South are local favourites and can always be counted on to whip a crowd up. Like Robert Johnson before them, they've sold their soul to the devil to play the blues. With the swampy bass and greasy riffs they aren't anything new or revolutionary, but they are just good old fashioned rock 'n rock fun." [Artrocker]
SCHTARLINGS. A made up word for a slurred bird. Big in LA apparently. Their flight is fast and direct and they walk and run confidently on the ground. Noisy and gregarious, schtarlings spend a lot of the year in flocks. A new band featuring members of Cartridge and Royal Treament Plant, Schtarlings are very tenacious and adaptable. "So, Schtarlings, consider me impressed. Their modern take on post-modern indie melds hard pop with candy rock and gloss-heavy riffs." [Live On Stage]
FADE TO SEPIA have only been together for little more than a year, but their dark doomy punk rock has already gained them a following around.the country. "Fade to Sepia easily draw the predictable Joy Division comparisons, with tortured vocals straining over a monotonous drum crawl, but their moments of unexpected rapture when the pace kicks into a more Bloc Party vibe stop them being forgettable." [The Fly]
