Do we need a reason…

www.myspace.com/halfmachinerecords
We are inviting you and all your friends along.
The Next Night is FRIDAY 8th DECEMBER at:
The Pleasure Unit
Bethnal Green
359 Bethnal Green Rd
London
E2 6LG (next door to Tesco’s)
Playing Live for your entertainment we have the following…..
THEORETICAL GIRL
http://www.myspace.com/iamtheoreticalgirl
Her reviews say everything we need to know, but firstly she likes to declare “I am not a band. I am just Amy Frolic. I'm getting together a live band though!” So the reviews….
"the stone cold brilliant Theoretical Girl" – NME
"This is a recipe for truely amazing, joyous and heavenly simplistic music" – ARTROCKER
"Angelic in her vocal and menacing in her delivery, TG works and you can't deny it." - LOUD AND QUIET
This will be her first December show in what promises to be a very good Christmas for her, you can buy her new single “Red Mist” released on Half Machine Records on the door.
AWFUL SPARKS

Already with their debut single sold out and recently signed to Half Machine Records we are expecting big and exciting times for this band come next year. You need to arrive early to get a chance to see them as their fanbase is huge.
"Delightfully arty... their sound is succinct 2006 artrock of Good Shoes and Hot Club De Paris." - Artrocker Magazine
"A bit of a revelation" - Time Out
"If you like your music jagged and bopping but are fed up of the mass produced button pressing angular rock that blares out of every radio station today, then give these a whirl." - Transparent magazine
KAPUTT
http://www.myspace.com/kaputtmusic
http://www.kaputt.co.uk
Kaputt are a fledging Anglo - German combo put together by ex Go! Team (er) Silke Steidinger.
Those expecting anything remotely similar in sound to Steidingers former charges had better quickly change their minds, this brutish hollowed beauty is a heads down sonic assault that mutates around a grinding kraut groove. This has you imagining, the Pixies DNA cross wired with the head shrinking low strung bass line of a Movement era Peter Hook, fed into a matrix consisting of the Vibration, a pristine prickly variant of Sonic Youth and Quick space. All in all Kaputt are not to be missed.
ART PHAG
http://www.myspace.com/weareartphag
We are very excited to have Art Phag playing for us; confrontational is only one word to describe them, so we shall let them do the introductions.
“I'd like to offer a warm 'Fuck You' to the world of Art Phag, full of scene points, people thinking they are better than you (because they probably are), bleeding ear drums, more fashion tips than Vogue, more fashionable people than an art school. and most of all dancing.
We're not here to be nice, we're not here to fufill the usual band/fan relationship, we don't care who you are, what you do, what our music means to you. Just sit back, light a cigarette open a bottle of Merlot and indulge yourself in a taste of decadence.”
"Art Phag sound like they missed the talent pit and landed in the cess pit!!" Quote from a Norwich Forum
THE SPIVS
They have no myspace, they have no website, we believe they squat somewhere in Hackney, extremely pleasant chaps and if you compare them to the White Strips then you are really missing the point and not listening at all, besides the drummer is male. Expect a boisterous large following a perfect way to start an evening.
Plus all throughout the whole evening we have DJ’s playing electronic, no wave, new wave, post punk, artrock tunes to make you dance, dance, dance.
Arrive early because you can’t come in after 12pm.
Bring your friends spread the word........etc…etc…
8pm-2am
Fiver on the door.
