The SUNDOWN SINNERS first came together in January
2005. Fresh off the train from Bradford, Miss Jane
Divine trips over southern boys Chris and Mark,
playing skiffle at Kings Cross Station. As it turns
out, she has a sweet voice from heaven, and can blow a
saxophone to bring a tear to your eye. This unlikely
trio starts to tear the place up, with its
vocal-harmonising spaghetti-rockabilly-gospel sound.
Gigging up and down the UK - London to Cornwall to
Edinburgh and rockin' up France and Holland. Some
think it’s country. Others say they sound like The
Jam. Rock ’n roll is what it is. "Very good indeed!"
[Gideon Coe, BBC 6 Music]; "Heaven-Sent Harmonies"
[The Guardian]
SCORPIO SCORPIO is a one man explosion in the finest
traditions of Ozrock. If you're the kind of person who
thinks AC/DC were never the same after the demise of
Bon Scott, this is for you. But there's plenty of
energy and enthusiasm to keep everyone gripped.
"...Take-no-bullshit dancefloor action. Music ain't
owned by multi-national record companies, no matter
what those wankers think. It’s ours – yours, mine, by
the people for the people. Scorpio Scorpio is bringing
it back home to roost." [Tony Rockpig]
LUCY JOPLIN is a relatively new performer on the
Anti-Folk circuit. But she's already garnering acclaim
and has been compared to PJ Harvey, Kim Deal, Kurt
Cobain, and Siouxsie Sioux. Considering she's just one
person playing an acoustic guitar, this is quite a
feat. She's definitely a performer to watch out for.
