Acts:
David Cronenberg's Wife - Featuring the worlds best seven-fingered guitarist, Tom Mayne, DCW bring you dark and twisted tales of life on the outside. The Fall meets Vladimir Nabokov, they have been called: 'The best undiscovered band in the country. Tom Mayne is a stunning lyricist who peels back the skin of humanity to reveal its pustulating bleeding sores while leaving piss stains on your trousers with his sardonic wit. The observational skills of a novelist. The lo-fi 2 chord soul of rock nroll.' (Sgt Buzfuz)
Paul Hawkins and Thee Awkward Silences - TimeOut London claims Paul is an 'ace antifolk superstar'. Paul claims that he's actually trying to write pop songs but tends to end up with something else entirely. After two years as a solo act Paul's now working with experimental post-punks Thee Awkward Silences, since when the regular comparisons with Daniel Johnston and Syd Barrett have been replaced by regular comparisons with Iggy Pop. Although Paul can't really see the truth of these comparisons, he finds they stoke his ego quite nicely. So that works out nicely.
Lou Psyche - Lil' Lou Lou she cried for you you ... but ... TODAY LIL' LOST LOU GOT PISSED OFF WITH COUNTRY MUSIC AND HAS BEEN MESSING AROUND TO TRY OUT SOME DIRTY PUNK ROCK GLAMTASTIC HOT SHIT THAT YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT...equal parts Emmylou Harris, White Stripes, Regina Spector, and Jonathan Richman ... Bring it on.
Filthy Pedro - will count and tally all your Rock n' Roll points, and outscore you every time. Filthy's songs explore his obsessions with ancient history, dirty sex and the inner workings of libraries with wit, humour and surprising poignancy. Everybody loves Pedro. Get Filthy!
