IN BRIEF
* THE PERMISSIVE SOCIETY - Begat by wolves and spawned from the dandy gene previously thought extinct by biologists. The Permissive Society help people accross the road and provide a meals on wheels service for idiots. "I remember a man once and he was a naughty little shit" said a boy. "The Permissive Society helped him to dance and how he expressed himself". He continued, "I like those boys very much, and I even want to etch-a-sketch the living shit out of all four of those Dandy motherfuckers". The Permissive Society were last seen supporting Selfish C*nt - www.myspace.com/thepermissivesociety
* ARISTOCRASH have been tucked away in Birmingham recording studio, working with the legendary A&R man Dave Ambrose (Duran Duran, Sex Pistols and Transvision Vamp?) recording tracks for their future single and album. Described by the BBC's Great Unheard as" Dirty, Pretty, Sexy, Cool, they've got it all. A dancefloor crashing, funk - rocking, fist fighting, orgy of fun." The same sentiments are shared in a recent Glasswerk review" Aristocrash will have you tapping your feet, nodding your head or jumping round the room flailing your arms all over the place." Their main objective is to entertain and there is a wealth of depth in the songs for future fans to discover once they take the leap into world of Aristocrash. - www.myspace.com/aristocrash
* THE OTTERS - Intense psychedelic punk rock from Welwyn Garden City, featuring Mark Astroanaut of semi-legendary anarcho punks The Astronauts. Live, the Otters are a fusion of chaos, frustration, spaced out noise pop bliss, frantic drumming, thumping basslines and shredding guitar riffs, all converged together by Mark's stories of modern day suburbia. Be very worried and bring an aubergine...The band used to headline above the likes of The Subways and are just about to release an 18 minute single - www.myspace.com/theottersband
* STE MCCABE is the ex-singer of political gay punk rock band Stephen Nancy. He makes cynical music with a guitar and a drum machine and describes his music as "out, loud, proud and irritated punk pop - www.myspace.com/stemccabe
