"We Are Your Problem" - KOROVA - UK tour
Band on the rise alert...
KOROVA - KiKiKorova (Vocals, Guitar), FiFiKorova (Vocals, Bass), GiGiKorova (Vocals, Drums) KiTiKorova (Vocals, Violin) - live their MICROWAVE ROMANCE on the road.
Welcome loyal supporters of the Korova State... We are your problem."
JUST LIKE PETER COOK / MICROWAVE ROMANCE is out now on Tough Love Records while stocks of the limited 7" last, it's going fast...and starting to pick up great reactions as people discover them.
"Set the stereo to repeat, and prepare to be astounded." (Drowned In Sound)
"A band of high energy, clearly shown in their live set. It’s usually quite hard to pull off that energy in a recording, however Korova mange to do so with style" (The Blue Light District)
"This is a bloody great tune." (Gigwise)
"Dangerous, spiky guitars and desperate vocals conjure up something special - not unlike a darker Muse, but a Muse that took a few more risks and dropped the prog - and the second track is a veritable full-on rock monster." (Playlouder.com)
If you want to see a punky rock'n'roll SHOW, then Korova come highly recommended on stage! "Spiky and jagged like a heart monitor recording a cardiac arrest, their live set is taut and charged, fiercely technicolour and unexpectedly open - Korova's sound is the kind which surrounds you in widescreen and sweeps you along." (Drowned In Sound) - catch them on their first UK tour (with extra dates being confirmed and sought by the band).

Korova already have a fine name on the alternative (T)art Rock underground - dark articulate punk with chaotic adrenaline rushes on stage. Their first show south of the border last year caused a riot of a mosh in Ipswich.
Six months later they found themselves snapped up by In The City 005 (new music guru, John Kennedy of Xfm caught their set, was impressed, and played them). The 21st century classic, 'Just Like Peter Cook' went on to win 98% in a Radio 1 Evening Session Scotland demo poll. Korova played The Artful Broadcast by Earwax Radio (which won fans abroad) and that song went on to be hailed Earwax's Tune Of The Year.
Korova, an esssential cog of the DIY Network, made the shortlist, from thousands of bands, for this year's T-In-the Park Festival. They also appear on Once Upon Another Time, a Newer Wave compilation this Summer. Steve Lamacq recently picked up on them too, more will follow, they're infectious.
KOROVA don't really exist: they are merely the illusionary personification of everything you know you want and need in a band. Dark, edgy, angular, speed soaked, adrenaline fuelled, 10,000 miles per hour pop. "...Brilliantly trashy guitars allied to a throbbing bass and a brilliant melancholic sense of vitriol."
