Viva Brother - Famous First Words
A four piece band from Slough. Viva Brother. Not only a few weeks ago they were called Brother, but had to change their name due to legality issues. So they added 'Viva' to it which now means 'Long live Brother.' Clever or what?

A big part of them and their music is compared to Oasis. The 90's. Britpop, or should I say Britpop revival? "We do get compared to Oasis, but I think that has more to do with an attitude, and the fact Lee wore round sunglasses in our first ever photoshoot" said drummer Frank Colucci.

'Famous First Words' is an album that has so many riffs and guitar solos that does sound like Oasis tunes. The guitar solo in 'Electric Daydream' almost sounds like the guitar solo of 'Live Forever' and lead singer Lee Newell's vocals sounds like the young Liam Gallagher's vocals of the 90's. Vocals that are similar to 'Champagne Supernova' and the guitar solo that sound like 'Live Forever.'

'Darling Buds of May' one of the most anthemic and catchiest song on the album.

Stephen Street, who previously worked with so many fantastic bands such as The Smiths and Blur produced this album and what an album it is. It's filled with big anthemic British rock 'n' roll tunes.

An album that definitely will make you think about where good music and good bands have gone. The 90's were the best time for British rock 'n' roll and I think these boys are trying to bring it back.
