Wichita Take Their Label's Music Machine on t'Road
sean by Sean Adams June 29th, 2004
We Love Proper Indie Labels! You do too...

Wichita is one of our favourite labels, not just because Mark Bowen is one of the nicest people in the music industry, but because of all the beautiful and brilliant music they've championed first and stuck to their guns with until the world relents and realises their genius. We're not talking any ol' bands. We're talking Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bright Eyes, The Bronx, The Cribs, The Pattern and pretty soon we'll be adding Bloc Party to that list too...

Anyway, they have a novel ideal, a package tour of three of their very best, entitled 'The Music Machines' tour featuring Bravecaptain, Her Space Holiday and Weevil, plus guest Dj's. You know what to do...

JULY
22nd Leeds Cockpit (DJs: Hood)
23rd Edinburgh The Music Box, 55 Groove Street, Edinburgh (DJs: Arab Strap)
24th Stockton Georgian Theatre (DJs: J Xavarre)
25th Birmingham Jug Of Ale (DJs: Pram)
26th Cardiff Ifor Bach (DJs: Minotaur Shock)
27th Southampton Joiners (DJs: Electric Soft Parade)
28th Brighton Po Na Na (DJs: Electric Soft Parade)
29th Reading 21 South St
30th Cambridge APU Su Bar (DJs: Wichita)
31st London Spitz (DJs: Athlete)

Enjoy... oh and Bravecaptain’s new album ‘All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace’ is out on 2nd August on Wichita.
