Mew: The Saviours Of Jazzballet
Andy by Andrew Farley May 20th, 2004
Mew are hard at work recording their new album, which has a working title of 'The Saviours Of Jazzballet'. The album will be the band's second release for Epic following last year's acclaimed collection, 'Frengers'.

The band have hooked up with producer Michael Beinhorn, who has produced records for Marilyn Manson, Korn , Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden and Hole, to name but a few. Bienhorn is known throughout the industry for his intense perfectionism and is said to have spent a week re-tuning Melissa Auf der Mar's bass whilst recording 'Celebrity Skin'. Courtney Love had this to offer on the man: "I have no idea what he did with my $3.2 million, but I still like him."

Speaking on the band's official website, Mew's Bo Madsen had this to say:

"our rec, working title Saviors of Jazzballet, is making much progress these days, we got about 12 to 13 songs and yes, they are all new thank you very much. all new all cracy pop songs that will make you cry, either because you think its shit and you are so dissapointed oooooooor, and thats where i put my money, litterally i guess, youll think its the best record you have ever heard. this rec could be amazing."

The album is due to be released by the end of the year.
