Big = better! Reading 2001!
sean by Sean Adams April 23rd, 2001
Another year and it looks like another good Carling Weekender, Reading/Leeds festival to look forward to. The BBC Radio1 website today revealed the headliners, a day before tickets go onsale (April 24th). And the headliners are [dodgy drum roll]

Reading Friday 24th/Leeds Saturday 25th:
Main Stage - Travis, Green Day, PJ Harvey
Evening Session Stage - Ash, Evan Dando

Reading Saturday 25th/Leeds Sunday 26th:
Main Stage - Manic Street Preachers, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Supergrass
Evening Session Stage - Mogwai, Teenage Fan Club

Reading Sunday 26th/Leeds Friday 24th:
Main Stage - Eminem, Marilyn Manson, Queens Of The Stone Age
Evening Session Stage - Mercury Rev, Stephen Malkmus

Tickets will be available from readingfestival.com priced at £80 for the weekend and £35 per day(probably plus a booking fee). With Glastonbury cancelled it would be a good idea to get in early to avoid disapointment.

The festival will also take place for two days in Glasgow, details to follow, as will more confirmed bands in the coming weeks and months.
