Ginger's 12 singles and acoustic dates
misterben by Mr Ben April 3rd, 2001

Ginger, of The Wildhearts and many other projects, has recently announced more news of his solo career. Although it is unlikely that his first single will be released until June, it appears that the intention is still to release 12 singles before Christmas.

Further to the four tracks mentioned in Drowned In Sound's last report on Ginger's solo project, it has since been announced that he has recorded eight more tracks, including titles such as 'Reinventing the Wheel', 'Cars and Vaginas' and 'Naked Innocence'. At present it appears that the tracks will be released as a series of 12 3-track singles, although it has been intimated that anyone who orders all 12 singles will also be able to buy a bonus vinyl release including even more exclusive tracks. Ordering details have not yet been confirmed, but Changes One record store are taking pre-orders for the entire set, prices to be confirmed.

As if all that isn't enough, Ginger is still planning to release a live acoustic double album entitled 'Grievous Acoustic Behaviour', and to promote the release he has announced two acoustic dates.

The first will be on Tuesday 5 June at The Office in South Shields. Tickets for this gig are only available from Changes One at £6 each - anyone wishing to order tickets should go to the order form at www.changesone.co.uk and quote 'Ginger tickets' in the 'album title' field.

Tickets for the second date, at the London Borderline on Thursday 7 June, are available from the usual sources.
