Chris 'Jarvis' Murphy, bass player of [spunge] has been involved in an accident. A message on the bands mailing list said:
"Chris 'Jarvis' Murphy, was involved in a bizarre accident yesterday at his home. Whilst working on his folks car with a set of pliers, his hand slipped resulting in the handle of the pliers stabbing him in the eye bursting the eyeball. Chris was rushed to Worcester Hospital before being transferred to Birmingham Eye Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery last night to try and save the eye, although doctors have already stated that it remains doubtful that Chris will enjoy any vision in the eye. Further surgery is planned for later this week depending on the success of last night's surgery."
