Feeder - Jon Lee dead
-Raz- by Raziq Rauf January 9th, 2002
Feeder's drummer, Jon Lee, has taken his own life in his Florida home on Monday, January 7th, aged 33.

Feeder have recently enjoyed their most successful period, following their latest release, 'Echo Park', winning several awards for it and the singles taken from it. Frontman Grant told Radio 1 today that the band fully intended to continue at the request of Jon's family.

Drowned In Sound relay our deepest sympathies to Jon's family and the remaining members of the band.

An official statement from the bands pr, Hall or Nothing, reads as follows:

Jon Lee 1968 - 2002

It is with the deepest regret that we must announce the tragic and premature death of Feeder drummer, Jon Lee.

Jon took his own life on Monday, January 7th, at his home in Florida. He is survived by his wife Tatiana and a son Cameron. Jon was 33.

Our sincere and heartfelt sympathy extends to Jon's family, fellow Feeder members Grant and Taka and all his friends.

A statement from Feeder reads: "We will miss him more than melody. We're utterly devastated."

At this dreadfully difficult time, we would ask that Jon's family and friends are afforded the utmost privacy.
