Sonic Youth, JAMC, Beasties and Bjork confirmed for Electric Picnic
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly April 5th, 2007

An army of alt-rock titans will converge on Co Laois, Ireland at the end of August for the Electric Picnic festival.

The first set of bands were confirmed three days ago; the list headed by the Beastie Boys, The Stooges and Bjork. The organisers haven't wasted any time in announcing the next raft - with Sonic Youth and The Jesus and Mary Chain upping the 'seminal' quota to five.

For a full set of bands, see below:

Sonic Youth
The Jesus And Mary Chain

Beastie Boys

The Stooges

Jarvis Cocker
Primal Scream
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
The Magic Numbers

With this lot and more running across seven stages at Stradbally Hall from August 31st to September 2nd, the ticket price of £150 is arguably justified. If you get bored of listening to bloody music, then there are comedy and film tents too, as well as the presence of that Lost Vagueness thing.
