Ryan Adams Alone Again
afrankowski by Andy Frankowski July 17th, 2001
Ryan Adams has completed work on the follow-up to this first solo record 'Heartbreaker'

The ex-Whiskeytown frontman will release 'Gold' on September 24 thru Lost Highway. In the begining Adam's planned the release to be a double, with 25 songs in the can. At the last minute 16 tracks made the cut with the rest to used for future records and EPs

As Heartbreaker was New York album, dealing with a lost love there, ' Gold is the North Carolina native’s take on Los Angeles. The title Gold refers to "what the buildings and streets look like in L.A. when the sun goes down." Adams told MOJO that he immediately wrote 15 songs out of excitement upon arriving in L.A. -- but, ironically, none of them are among the 16 tracks that make up Gold.

The tracklisting for 'Gold' is as follows-

  • 'New York New York'
  • 'Firecracker'
  • 'Answering Bell'
  • 'I A Cienega Just Smiled'
  • 'Rescue Blues'
  • 'Somehow Someday'
  • 'When The Stars Go Blue'
  • 'Nobody Girl'
  • 'Slyvia Plath'
  • 'Enemy Fire'
  • 'Gonna Make You Love Me'
  • 'Wild Flowers'
  • 'Harder Now That It's Over'
  • 'Touch Feel & Lose'
  • 'Tina Toledo's Street Walkin' Blues'
  • 'Goodnight Hollywood Boulevard'
