Now that the first of Ginger's 12 'Singles Club' singles, 'I'm A Lover Not A Fighter', has been released, Infernal boss Dante Bonutto has confirmed that the second single will be 'Cars & Vaginas', with b-sides 'You, Me & BT' and 'Not Bitter, Just A Little Disappointed'. A release date has not yet been set, but given that Ginger hopes to release his 12 singles within 12 months (or before Christmas, according to some reports), fans should anticipate the next single within the next month or so.
Ginger also announced at the recent SilverGinger 5 shows that their album, 'Black Leather Mojo', should finally be getting a UK release. Again no concrete details are available, but to make the purchase worthwhile for all those fans who bought the album on Japanese import when it first came out, it is likely that there will be some sort of bonus CD included in the package, possibly featuring some live material.
Meanwhile Ian Tunstall of South Shields' independent record shop Changes One has been elated to hear that a chant of "Changes One, Changes One" was started by the crowd at SilverGinger 5's recent London gig when Ginger mentioned the band's album. In an interview with Music Week, Tunstall explained: "They are a band we have worked hard to expose and everyone in the crowd probably bought their album from us".
Changes One has established itself over the past few years as one of the most enthusiastic and comprehensive suppliers of Ginger- and Wildhearts-related products in the UK, which has also led to many instore performances from related bands such as Bubble, AntiProduct, Clam Abuse and Ginger himself. Changes One are now taking orders for Ginger's first solo single, as well as pre-orders for all 12 singles for those who wish to purchase the entire set.
