Song For The Brothers
rubbafish by Colin Weston June 28th, 2001
Electro stars Ed Simons & Tom Rowland, AKA The Chemical Brothers, are are to release a new album early next year with yet another indie singer making an apperance on their record.

Under the working title 'Chemical 4', the album is expected to be a 14 track affair including the tracks 'It Began In Africa' and 'Galaxy Bounce', the latter of which being used in the soundtrack of the Tomb Raider movie.

According to Ed, "[The new] record is really a grit thing. The drums are tougher, and the bass really hits you in all the tracks."

Also there is a track involving former Verve singer Richard Ashcroft. Although it has been recorded it is not 100% certain if it will make the album or not.

The Chems are not alien to using famous indie singers in their tracks. On several occasions they have collaborated with the Gallagher brothers for songs such as 'Tommorow Never Knows' & 'Setting Sun'.
