Ryan Adams plays super-intimate Bush Hall set to kick off UK tour.
This particular DiS scribe's favourite solo artist in like... the whole world took to the stage last night in front of 300 lucky fans at West London's salubrious Bush Hall venue.
Ryan Adams played a host of brand new material, previously debuted songs (including the sublime 'Everything Dies') and classics from his catalogue including 'My Winding Wheel', 'Strawberry Wine' and set-closer 'Cold Roses'.
Most notably though, was Adams' decision to 'do a Lightning Bolt' and take up residence on a piano situated in the audience to perform one number.
Adams plays another intimate show tonight at the Borderline, Charing Cross Road (yes, it's sold out) and then heads out on a UK tour as listed below. DiS will be featuring content with Adams, including a 'Five Nights with Ryan Adams' feature, in October.
