SFA On The Big Screen... Sorta

Super Furry Animals are to premiere their 'Rings Around The World' DVD at a special conference in Cardiff.

As previously reported on DiS, the long player, which has now been put back till the 23rd July, also comes out simultaneously on DVD. The DVD features short films for each track, though no members of the band.

The showing of the 'Rings Around The World' films will take place at the Cardiff Interactive City multimedia conference on 4th June. Delegates at the conference will be able to attend a screening at Cardiff's UCI cinema at 7pm, with a public showing at 9pm.

In other news, the band have confirmed the details of a special remix album, which will feature on the DVD release of 'Rings Around The World'.

The remixers are:

Atmos - 'Alternate Route To Vulcan Street'
Massimo - 'Run! Christian, Run!'
Brave Captain - 'Fragile Happiness'
High Llamas - 'Presidential Suite'
Lesser - 'Juxtaposed With U'
Kid 606 - 'No Sympathy'
Goem - 'Miniature'
Wauvenfold - 'Shoot Doris Day'
Llwybr Llaethog - 'Rings Around The World'
Phat Eric - 'Presidential Suite'
SFA - 'Juxtaposed With U'
Bench - 'Alternate Route To Vulcan Street'
Pieweigher - 'Fragile Happiness'
Force Unknown - 'It's Not The End Of The World' and '[A] Touch Sensitive'

There are currently no plans to release the remix project as a conventional audio album.
