Gates would fill some of the void left by Ronan Keating, who wants nothing to do with the 'Zone's reformation. Gates apparently released a second album that vanished without a trace. Truth be told, I don't remember.
A source told today's favourite tabloid, The Star: "There's always been one major sticking point in getting the lads back together and that was Ronan. He refused point blank to join the band again. But Gareth has the right look and voice and the boys really rate him."
