We like Deerhoof. So does Pitchfork, over there in the US of A. Indeed, we read this rather interesting slice o' news at their site.
The San Francisco alternative poppers, now a trio of course, have revealed the tracklisting to their forthcoming Friend Opportunity album, due for release early next year. But who cares about that, when we've also read that a school in Maine is to perform a ballet based on the band's 2004 album Milk Man.
Literally, literally, Oh Em Gee.
The ballet, which will be performed by children of the North Haven Community School, will run for only two days at Waterman's Community Center (also in North Haven, a small town on the Atlantic coast). Anyone in town on October 23 or 24, go. Then tell us about it. It sounds almost too brilliant. Why not read about North haven here?
