Eighties Matchbox, Liars and Wolf Eyes announce gigs
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver November 19th, 2004
No, not together...

Those nasty rock 'n' rollers The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster have announced a brace of dates for December, their last of the year:

December
18th Stoke Underground
19th Brighton Concorde

If you don't have their 'The Royal Society' (Review) album by now, you should probably kick yourself in the head and rush to your local store and buy a copy. Or, stick it on the Christmas list. If you've been particularly evil this year, Santa just can't say no...

And just so we don't have to do another news story, and as you people predictably like the same noizier-than-thou bands, The Liars, who earlier this year released 'They Were Wrong, So We Drowned' (Review), have just announced some end-of-year dates, too...

December
3rd London Conway Hall
4th ATP The Nightmare Before Christmas
5th Stoke The Underground

And finally, 2004's scariest band, Wolf Eyes (Thurston Moore digs 'em. Nuff said), hit the UK in December for ATP and a rather special, one-off event in London.

The Ann Arbor, MI trio (pictured) play The Nightmare Before Christmas on December 3rd, alongside the might Shellac, before heading to London for a show at the Electric Ballroom on December 7th, featuring Lightning Bolt, Growing and Jackie-O-Motherfucker. Sound good? That's because it is. Sound like it's gonna tear you a new asshole? That's because it will.

Wolf Eye's third album, 'Burned Mind' (Review), was released through Sub Pop earlier this year. It doesn't sound like Mudhoney.
