ok, so my friend had a house fire way back before the easter bank holiday. a faulty electric blanket meant that her mum's room is now all burnt.

insurance people said they'd have to redecorate her mum's room (the only one that actually had flames in it), redo the floor and the ceiling below, put a new carpet down and clean upstairs with a lick of paint here and there.

so far nothing's been done and they're still living in temporary accomodation with all their belongings inaccessible as it was put in storage by the insurers (including all their clothes).

it's been exactly 2 months since the fire. insurance people are taking the piss right?
