Like the 'Pink Pound', could there be a 'Geek Pound'?

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 10:14, 30 May '07

I was thinking that if you were an idea/charisma free bastard face working in marketing/advertising or just a cynical economist who wanted to write something for the G2, you could invent a 'Geek Pound' similar to the 'Pink Pound' as in a new 'market' to be exploited by magazines, lifestyles and lots of MUST HAVE 'gadges' (Gadgets in non-Tobyspeak) of a certain generation of age group who are 'geeks' - but first off we'd need the ideal model of 'Geekman' (and women of course - what would their age range be, the ideal look and what would be their 'must haves' in this very marketable market.

Woulod they be the following;

aged 20-45
lots of disposable income from techiy job/being single/rich parents
a bit autistic
only child

you carry on........

I think it exists already. We just need Zoe Williams to write a HA HA WRY feature on it don't we?
