Why are people who work in record shops so monumentally miserable/rude?

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 15:23, 23 May '07

ok not everyone in case someone says "Well, my mate works in a record shop and he's happier than the entire back catalogue of The Thrills being fellated round a campfire", but everytime I buy records and I go to the counter to ask for something and then do some nervous small talk or even just smile during the transaction, I get greeted with that 29 year old, slightly unshaven brand t shirt misery who's face is just dying to say IM IN A BAND AND WE'RE BETTER THAN THIS CRUD YOURE BUYING BIGNOSE, AND I DONT HAVE TO WORK HERE BUT I'M PAYING FOR MY PART TIME COURSE IN HUBRIS, SO BUY UP AND SHIP OUT.

Anyone else come across this? I mean 'proper' record shops, not Virgin or Tower where you get served by half stoned danish girls with Trustafarian hair and their retinas peirced with solid gold ear studs.
