Last night a security guard at my library got stabbed by a lunatic. Last week he called to say he would kill two members of staff and we told the police, thay did nothing and then he came back with a huge knife. He's in custody at the moment but will be out on bail by 3pm; the police have issued all security with stab jackets but us librarians are a bit nervous.

I was under the impression he would be locked up for 6 months for possession of a weapon but oh look, a psycho out on bail 24 hours later.

God bless the CJS and overcrowding. If we hold our breath and cross our fingers he might get an asbo.
