Flower food

John_Brainlove [Edit] [Delete] 13:15, 9 May '07

that you add to water in a vase to make flowers last longer.

They don't sell it in the supermarket. They sell baby bio for growing plants, but nothing specifically for flowers.

It comes in little sachets with supermarket flowers, and I've noticed they last a LOT longer. But flowers from the market don't come with the sachet, and the packaging bears no list of ingredients.

So, my question is this. Is it commercially available, or easily made? If so, is it just a sugar solution of some kind?

I've had ingredients suggestions from friends that include anything from Sprite to bleach.

DiS florist?
