As a staunch Liverpool fan, I haev just come back from watching the match at my student union. The match itself was amazing, and I nearly fell apart before kuyt's penalty.

But the whole atmosphere was soiled by someone shouting loudly at the big screen things like:

"Fuckin' hit him, nail the cunt!"
"Fucking wanker, send the shit off"

This guy just happened to be a chelsea fan, though it could have been anyone. He shouted every 2-3 minutes with unnecessary swearing. He is an economics student who is in my lectures and generally mild mannered, but tonight his behaviour made my blood boil. I told him to shut up loudly so the whole bar heard, and eventually he stormed out after 20 minutes. Are all football fans like this? I rarely go to matches, so I wouldn't know. I think its disgusting people behaving in this way and advocating behaviour which has no place on the field.

This is a bit of rant, ain't it?
