OK, so maybe not, but has anyone else had the dispiriting experience I've just had?

It said on the website for the job I'm applying for that you could ring through for an 'informal discussion' of what the job entailed.

I've just done that, and was greeted by a very, very fruity woman who really wasn't very forthcoming and whose phone manner I really didn't like. It was a total car crash of a conversation. I'm desperate for a job, but should I keep going with my application or not?
