Leaving games early (footballcentric)

domgourlay [Edit] [Delete] 01:24, 15 April '07

So, I've had a rather grand day in sunny London this afternoon, or at least I should have done....except having trawled round a few of Soho's finest, hopped on a tube to South Ealing and drank in the rather splendid Ealing Road Tavern, we decided to make our way to Griffin Park, home of the first team to be relegated this season (sorry Bees fans) to watch the mighty Reds get three points.
But of course, being a Forest fan, it always goes tits up, and we conceded a dubious 30 yard chip that wasn't over the line but superhuman lino says it was.
So me in my pearl of wisdom says to my friends that if we concede a second I'm off to the lovely Ealing Road Tavern...and just after half time, we went 2-0 down. So I kept to my word....
And as I left, my friends text me it's now 2-1. As I walk in the pub, we've equalised. Halfway through my pint we take the lead, and by the end of pint number 1, (about number 6 of the day actually), we're 4-2 up.

So, does that make me a) unlucky; b) stupid; or c) a jinx on my beloved football team therefore ensuring I no longer attend games this season?
